Basic adjectives (colours, sizes, opposites)

An adjective describes a noun. In English it usually stands before the noun and does not change in the plural.

• a red car · red cars (not reds cars)
• She is tall.

• blue, green, black, white
• big / small, long / short, old / new
• happy / sad, hot / cold

Very + adjective: very big. Comparatives (A2): bigger than, the biggest.
