Who we are

lingexo is a free English-learning website at lingexo.com. You can use the dictionary, grammar lessons, texts, flashcards and tests without an account. An account is optional and only needed to save a personal word list and profile settings.

What we collect

• If you register: name, email and a password (or a Google sign-in).
• If you use the contact form: the name, email and message you send.
• Words you add to a personal dictionary, and the interface / learning language you choose.
• Technical data needed to run the site: session cookies and, if you sign in, an authentication token.

Cookies and analytics

We use a session cookie and a CSRF cookie so the site can tell who is signed in and block forged requests. Google Analytics (measurement ID G-KT5M9MSZ6K) records anonymous usage — pages visited, device type, approximate location — so we can see whether the product is useful.

Google sign-in and pronunciation

Google sign-in is handled by Google. We store the account email and name Google sends us. Word pronunciation is generated by Google Text-to-Speech when you tap the speaker icon; the spoken phrase is sent to that service to produce audio.

How long we keep data

Account data stays until you ask us to delete it. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to reply. Analytics data follows Google Analytics retention settings.

Your choices

You can use the site without registering. You can change or delete your profile after signing in. To request deletion of an account or a contact message, use the contact form and say so clearly.
